Affiliate Disclosure
How this site makes money, what that means for you, and our commitment to editorial independence.
Last updated: April 2026
Short version: DebtReliefSimple.com has an active affiliate relationship with CuraDebt. If you request services through certain links on this site, we may receive a referral fee at no cost to you. This does not affect our editorial coverage — we cover all debt relief options, including free ones.
Current affiliate partnerships
As of April 2026, DebtReliefSimple.com has one active affiliate relationship:
- CuraDebt — a debt relief and tax debt resolution company. Certain pages on this site contain links to CuraDebt's website (routed through
/go/curadebt). If you request a consultation or services through those links, we may receive a referral fee from CuraDebt. This fee is paid by CuraDebt and does not increase the cost to you in any way.
All affiliate links are marked with rel="sponsored" in the HTML and are accompanied by a visible disclosure notice near the link. A disclosure notice also appears at the top of pages containing affiliate links.
Content on this site is written independently. CuraDebt has not paid for placement in editorial articles, reviewed content before publication, or influenced coverage in any way. Being a partner does not guarantee favorable treatment in our guides or comparisons.
How we disclose affiliate links
Wherever a CuraDebt affiliate link appears on this site, you will see a notice that reads: "We may receive compensation if you request services through our partner links." This notice appears near every CTA button linked to our affiliate partner.
Editorial standards
Whether or not affiliate relationships exist in the future, the following editorial commitments apply to all content on this site:
- We cover the risks and downsides of every debt relief option honestly — including credit score damage, potential creditor lawsuits, and tax consequences
- We cover all four major debt relief paths (settlement, consolidation, DMPs, DIY) with the same depth, regardless of which generates revenue
- We do not fabricate testimonials, invent statistics, or manufacture social proof
- We do not use fake urgency, countdown timers, or pressure tactics
- We update content when information becomes inaccurate or outdated
- No outside company has the ability to review, approve, or influence content prior to publication
If you believe any content on this site is factually incorrect, please contact us at info@debtreliefsimple.com.
The Federal Trade Commission requires that material connections between an endorser and the company whose products or services are endorsed be clearly disclosed. DebtReliefSimple.com has a material connection to CuraDebt in the form of an affiliate referral arrangement: we may receive compensation when a visitor requests services through links on this site marked rel="sponsored".
This relationship is disclosed on every page where affiliate links appear, in the disclosure bar at the top of those pages, and adjacent to each CTA button linking to our affiliate partner. This page serves as the central disclosure document in accordance with 16 C.F.R. Part 255 (Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising).
